Personally, I don't think these gaming laptops are the best deal or value out there right now.  I think people who buy something like this are paying more for what they should be getting.    Of course, some people don't get…

Sega Pass has been hacked.  1.3 million customers had their information compromised because they signed up to play games onlien with other people.  This news comes shortly after the hacking of Sony and Nintendo sites and services. Many companies and government agencies have been getting hacked.  While the problem isn't isolated to the video game industry, there have been a lot of hacking within the industry. Do we need to worry about more and more hacking news as we continue to play more games…See More

Should I Buy A New Graphics Card?

Is the increased performance of PC gaming really worth the extra cost? I'm trying to decide if I should update the hardware on my PC.  I know that I prefer to have the best possible graphics on my PC, but this high end video game habit of mine is starting to get costly. I'm thinking about buying a new graphics card, but the cost is a little over $300.  Do I really want to spend that money to update my PC?See More

OnLive - Video Game Cloud Computing

OnLive is a service that allows you to play games on any screen while the game is being run on a server farm and displayed over the internet on any monitor.

This is a form of cloud computing that allows people to play high end games without having high end gaming hardware.  It will be exciting to see how much better the service will get as the broadband speeds continue to improve.

This type of video game cloud computing will allow consumers to spend more…

PC Gaming - The Best Option Gets No Attention

PC gaming continues to deliver the best performance, but all of the attention is going to the consoles and mobile gaming platforms.

The biggest reason for this is that hardware companies make more money by creating their own consoles.  Microsoft might make some revenue when you buy your high performance gaming PC, but they make a lot more when someone buys an Xbox.

Another reason we hear more about consoles is because they are a mass market product.  Sure,…
