OnLive is a service that allows you to play games on any screen while the game is being run on a server farm and displayed over the internet on any monitor.

This is a form of cloud computing that allows people to play high end games without having high end gaming hardware.  It will be exciting to see how much better the service will get as the broadband speeds continue to improve.

This type of video game cloud computing will allow consumers to spend more money on high end screens while the OnLive service spends money to keep the games running with the best graphics cards and processors.

While video game cloud computing will allow people to play high end games on a tablet or phone, the service will best be utilized to play games on computers and high definition televisions.  If you are going to play a game with high performance technology, it is worth having on a larger screen.

The future of cloud based video games is very bright and may be the answer to the cost associated with high performance PC gaming.
